Background:

Jim Sayre, a retired transportation manager, began his portrayal of Abraham Lincoln in 1983 in a Look-Alike contest, resulting in a third place finish. Over the years there has been many contest with four first place National awards at the home of Lincoln in Hodgenville, Kentucky. Also first place in Rutherford, Kentucky, first place in Salvisa, Kentucky, first place in Gentryville, Indiana, first place in a Presidential Look-Alike contest in West Branch, Iowa, and the Association of Lincoln Presenters, Lincoln of the year 1995.

Jim Sayre has spoken for Churches, Schools, and many other events, a list brief list of conventions. The Hoover Association Convention, Iowa City, Iowa, Alliance For Mentally Ill of Illinois, Springfield, Illinois, D A R , Convention, Lexington, Kentucky, Ohio Pest Control Convention , Columbus, Ohio, and Michigan Ultimate Farmland Preservation Tour Convention, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

Jim Sayre has dedicated much of his time in an effort to increase America's awareness in the freedom that we enjoy in this country as demonstrated by Abraham Lincoln's speeches and actions.

Jim Sayre is a Life Member of the Association of Lincoln Presenters.
